About Us
Mr. Cherala Narayana, Founder & Chairman of Kalayika Foundation, was born in a small village called Sircilla in Andhra Pradesh, India, and completed his education in a government school. From his childhood days, he witnessed corruption, broken promises, and the struggles faced by ordinary people in society. These experiences deeply moved him and inspired him to dedicate his life to social unity and service.
After marriage, he faced opposition and isolation from friends and relatives because of his principles and decisions. During that challenging phase, he moved to Mumbai with his family and worked in a textile company, where his hard work and dedication earned him appreciation and recognition from his superiors.
That phase became the turning point of his life. With a vision to unite Telugu people living across India and around the world, he began working towards creating stronger bonds, cooperation, and coordination among Pravasa Andhrulu. With self-confidence, courage, determination, and hard work as his only investment, he successfully launched and published three magazines, including “Eppude,” to spread awareness, unity, and cultural connection among Telugu communities worldwide.
From 1982 till today, his life has been a journey filled with struggle, dedication, and enthusiasm to achieve his aspired goals. Through every challenge, he was deeply inspired by the power of friendship and love. He believes these two values transformed his life and played a major role in shaping him into the person he is today.
The film industry also extended support to his mission by organizing charitable shows, which became a grand success and strengthened his social initiatives. His belief has always been that even a small drop can contribute to creating a mighty ocean. He continues to work tirelessly for social harmony, cultural unity, education, and world peace.
Mr. Cherala Narayana strongly stands against the dowry system and set an example through his own marriage by not accepting a single penny as dowry. He married a differently-abled woman to show society that differently-abled people are equal members of our community deserving love, dignity, and respect. Since then, his wife has been his strongest supporter, and together they continue their lifelong mission of uniting Telugu people around the world through service, culture, education, and entertainment.
